Check your lease for utilities that must be transferred or initiated for your leasing period.

If your lease begins on a weekend or holiday, ask the utility provider if this will delay service transfers or connections, and schedule accordingly.

For a smooth transition into your new home, and to avoid interruption in service, consider starting utilities prior to lease start date of your lease (we suggest 1 - 2 days before).
